John Brattain Memorial Fund

The Hardball Times has set up a memorial fund for John Brattain's family. He left behind a wife and two teenage daughters.

The rubber game of the last first series of the season at the original yet renovated Yankee Stadium is upon us.
TOR: Dustin McGowan (0-0,0.00) vs. NYY: Phil Hughes (0-0, 0.00)

Toronto can throw three tough pitchers at you in any given series.  McGowan throws as hard as Burnett, but hopefully he won’t have his A game tonight.  He’ll be pitching despite flu-like symptoms.
