Yay, Brett Gardner’s back. Derek Jeter is three hits away from tying Lou Gehrig’s Yankee hits record and with two games he just may get there today. Also, the Yankees can’t lose in Gardner’s return, so that makes this game important.
Go Yankees.

Whatever.
I would be shocked if Sonnanstine does NOT pitch well in this game, despite those ugly numbers. As every Yankee fan knows, A.J. Burnett’s going through a rough patch. The Yankees need an effective Burnett for the postseason, so this is an important game for him. That therefore makes it an important game for the Yankees as well.
Go Yankees, once again.
