NJ.com: Price - Making progress, Posada catches seven innings
Jorge Posada, recovering from rotator-cuff tendinitis, caught seven innings yesterday in an extended spring training game in Tampa, Fla., but did not makes throws to the bases. He went 1-for-2 with two walks.
Posada, who has been making practice throws to bases, could be allowed to throw in a game tomorrow and could come off the disabled list next week.
“It feels good,” Posada told the Associated Press. “The more I throw, the better it feels. It’s coming along. I’m happy with the throwing today. I think I’m going to DH (today) and then (tomorrow) go full-bore.”
A healthy Posado would make a massive difference in this team’s offense.
