Courant.com: Ponson To Start In Yankees Doubleheader
NEW YORK—The Yankees won’t officially name a starter for the other game of Friday’s doubleheader—Dan Giese will start one—until the series in Pittsburgh, but you can pencil in righthander Sidney Ponson.
Ponson, who signed a minor league contract with the Yankees last week, made his debut for Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Saturday. He gave up two runs, one earned, and three hits in four innings, struck out two and walked three.
I was going to go to the trouble of doing a Ponson projection, then I realized I can do it in three words. He will suck. Hopefully he only gets one start.
