Whatever may be over, but WOE isn’t. Go Yankees.
Comments
I rather see WOE gone then whatever.
“than” I should say.
So Cueto is basically the same pitcher we’ve seen the last two days, right?
Today is Lake Wobegon day in the Bronx
No Adam Dunn?
He doesn’t like baseball. Dusty Baker benched him because he can’t bunt. pick one.
I choose b/c he slugging in the .300s v. LHPs
he’s
Pettite strikes out Bruce. Mussina has aneurysm.
Baseclogger does his thing the hard way.
Giambi’s been partaking of Just for Men?
Cueto gives up a lot of homers. I like our chances.
If Po gets on then Cano and Melky can do some serious damgage
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA
I feel like Cueto’s ability to give up homers is mitigated by his ability to strike people out, something else the Yankees love to do
This has been said before, but “ironic” doesn’t mean what Michael Kay thinks it means.
WOE.
Ironic is misused about 90% of the time.
Fuck you, Encarnacion.
Can this team ever get a break??
Fabian- He pitches in Cincinnati, of course he gives up a lot of home runs.

Cano’s been bad, we can all agree, but his luck’s even worse.
Encarnacion is playing some pretty ridiculous defense this series.
I want to see this Cueto kid crying for his mommy. C’mon Bombers, make it happen!
/vicious.
Wasn’t Cueto the guy who early in the season was leading the league in Ks?
At least Cano broke Encarnacion’s hand.
That will learn’em.
sleepyirv, 7 homers in 29.2 away and 11 in about 55 at home…
Hmm. I feel bad if Encarnacion is injured, but I’m also kind of happy he’s out of there.
Wasn’t Cueto the guy who early in the season was leading the league in Ks?
Yes, he’s done great overall, but every now and then leaves a fastball up and that’s why his ERA stinks.
Fabian- Pitching in Cincinnati also causes mental damage.
I once studied a lot of statistics and probabilities in college so would it be wrong to surmise that getting swept at home by the last place team in the NL central just might be a bad thing?
Cueto, put your cap on straight, ya lil’ punk!

Wow, terrible Cano, just terrible. Inning should be over. He is killing this team.
Argh. Wasn’t it the non-DP on Phillips yesterday that opened the floodgates, too?
Cano is not killing this team (with his defense). He’s made some plays that he had absolutely no business making.

It’s even worse because Pettitte doesn’t have great stuff today. He’s getting outs, but the location isn’t great. Mistakes like that can’t be made.
you can’t walk this guy Andy

33. Yes, but I am mad and not rational, and this game may be going down the drain.
I don’t see this ending well
Whatever.

And if Bad Andy is here, this is the meltdown inning. The Reds are missing some hanging sliders. Bruce just fouled one back.

Should of tried a fastball in before 3-2. Might have froze him.

Yes! Now, let’s get some runs! /drunk Harry Carey/
Whatever.
Nice.
Whatever!
Mussina is fistfighting with Girardi if Pettite strikes him out again
Mussina is fistfighting with Girardi if Pettite strikes him out again
This isn’t the blue jays. Moose will write him an angry letter.
Mussina is fistfighting with Girardi if Pettite strikes him out again
I would pay good money to watch that.
He’ll devises an intricate yet angry crossword puzzle and place it on Girardi’s desk.
Impressive

Girardi is ON FIRE with the hit and run.
Jebus.

A-Rod has to break his arm for that.
I honestly expected Giambi’s throw to go into RF, and yes I realize that would mean the ball would have to go backwards.
By the way…I saw Iron Man yesterday. Maybe it was all the hype, but…while a good movie I didn’t think it was the clear cut best superhero movie ever that people made it out to be. I would take X-2, Spider Man 2, and Batman Begins over it.
A freebie for Robbie
He hit the ball hard twice today

53. All three of those are very good. But give me Iron Man over X-2, even though X-3 makes X-2 look like the Godfather.
Oh Melky I had such high hopes for you after your rookie year. I suppose considering yesterday’s farce I should be thrilled with one run

57. If the plate discipline shown that year is an illusion, than Melky’s value really plummets.
Fabian, I agree, although I’ve never been a big fan of the spiderman series. I hope Iron Man 2 is darker. Batman Begins is still the best.
Spiderman 2 and Batman Begins, MAYBE. Though in the end I’d probably still take Iron Man. Can’t put X2 in that league.
Also, I didn’t hate X3 as much as everyone else apparently. Though it was definitely the worst of the trilogy.
The Dark Knight just looks more and more awesome every time I see a preview, by the way. And I just found out that they’re making a Wolverine movie, which at first made me say “ugh…”, however it turns out Gambit (Best. X-Man. Ever.) and Deadpool will be in the movie and so I am now tremendously excited.
I think I’m clearly in the Batmin Begins camp here
We’ve been having this conversation about twice weekly for a month now. we’re in a rut.
damn rain
Wooo, another Iron Man discussion! Clay, you’re right.
Wow, David Cone’s wearing a seriously shiny shirt.
Last time we pissed some people off with our nerd discussions IIRC.
I could have lived with El Cheapo rainout win. Personally I prefer Bunuel’s Spanish language pictures such as Los Olvidados and Simon of the Dessert to his French ones including Belle De Jour
Ranked according to Rotten Tomatoes:
1. Iron Man 93%
1. Spider-Man 2 93%
2. Spider-Man 90%
3. X-Men 2 87%
4. Batman Begins 84%
5. X-Men 80%

How do they compare to How High?
Give me Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Hud, La Strada, Twelve Monkeys, or Kubrick’s The Killing
70-I was pretty high when I saw them
I was pretty high when I saw them
If you studied high and took the test high, did you get high grades?
baseball back
Let’s hurt this last place NL Central bullpen
Once Upon a Time in the West, The Bird People of China, Eisenstein, Buster Keaton, Takeshi Kitano, Francis Ford Coppola, Preston Sturges and Italian Neo-Realism.
Let’s see the Giambino in action
And Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter
Way to go, Juice.
76 Yes and I love Italian neo realism especially and how about the underrated Onve Upon A Time in America
Giambi goes oppo
Prowess.
When Patterson dived, I was hoping Jorge would get a triple out of that.
Yankee offense always improves after rain delay
Not Cano’s, though

Hey, did any of you guys see Iron Man?
Bruce pops out. Poor Moose must be apoplectic.
So it looks like Edwar, Farnsie and Mo. To quote Meat Loaf two out of three can be very bad.
Hey, did any of you guys see Iron Man?
Nope. I don’t watch kids movies.
Thats the Edwar we all want to love
Yay Melk. Need to Farns-proof this game posthaste.
how about the underrated Onve Upon A Time in America
like it , but it’s no Once Upon a Time in the West.
“I don’t watch kids movies.”
I don’t watch movies now I’ve got a kid.

89. TAKE THAT BACK
Don’t you wish managers would give it a rest sometimes? I mean, did Dusty really need to hook his pitcher right there? At least the vendors are happy.
I’m not sure which player I am more surprised to see in the majors this year, Mike Lincoln or Fernando Tatis.

Underrated western: Tombstone.
In America was in some ways great.
Wow, they REALLY can’t buy a break. Ridiculous.
the prayers are beginning

Man, Lester is really pitching well this season. Hopefully STL can hang on.
