85- Its a veteran thing, really.
78- Ding Dong- Yfin wins the “Truest Post Of The Day”
Jesus is kind of blessed.
I heard some whispers about A-Rod’s hitting ability - think there’s anything to it?
[100] I brought up the stat padding yesterday, and it would have been if they had gone Hughes for the 8th. Tonight’s probably isn’t stat padding, since Pettitte is going to battle his way into allowing one more run in the 7th and Bruney is going to blow the lead in the 8th.
Melky did like a triple take on that ball.
A-Rod busting out of his slump with a bunch of dingers? You can’t predict baseball.
So Hughes and Coke is warming?

Do you guys want to know the horrible truth, or do you want to see some dingers?
Why not Andy for the 9th hitter and two lefties?
104- Yes he did. Somewhere, Devon White sprayed his drink all over the place.
[105]
Bufotenine humor!
So did Gary Pettis and Paul Blair.
And the Gray Eagle.
Pretty decent showing for Herr Washburn.
“I was completely wrong on everything I said”—Sterling
Let’s go Alfredo.
Tris and the Clipper. Say hey.
[114] - Ever? That’s big of him.
So if anyone gets on for Branyan, Coke?
[117]
At least the HR calls, I presume.
He was trying to refer to his plans for the bullpen, but I’ll go with Ever.
Wow- La Russa just called. Girardio answered.
See if you use Aceves to matchup against a RHH, then Coke against the two LHH, then it means neither of them actually pitched teh ate (they just pitched match-ups). So, Bruney is still teh ate inning guy, even though he can’t be trusted to do so. All of this is important because if you don’t define roles for relievers, than you have to defend yourself as a manager if you make the wrong choice. If everyone has roles, your Veras is covered.
Coke is it.
That was pretty awesome.
Whatever. Ace would have sufficed.
I hate La Russa.
But I guess this was what it had to be. As someone else noted, Aceves hadn’t seen action for awhile, and Coke was kinda predestined. So whatever.
Insurance would be nice. Not necessary but nice.
I love having that funny Irish bastard in the booth.
Coke is hitting 94-95 on his fastball. I like it. I like the bullpen right now in general. Call me a big fan.
I knew we were going to have to hear about Batista’s poetry.
Dictators.
[110] I’m not not licking toads.
Maybe it’s just that the 5th spot in the lineup is just a hitter’s abyss?
Maybe its not Cano in the 5 hole, maybe its just the 5 spot is destined to constantly GIDP.
Puj- You are a big fan.
I love having that funny Irish bastard in the booth.
Thurm is on TV?
[135] Or at a diner.
Youse guyz…
Maybe Andy “Battle Cat” Pettitte should mentor Joba on how to properly battle. Against the same lineup:
Joba - 5IP, 3ER
Battle Cat - 7IP, 2ER
Game time 2h22m.
For the amount of battling that went on, that was a very quick game.
[131]
Ranine humor? But bufotenine is such a kick-ass word!
Mo de Mo Mo
Mariano Rivera can pitch some.
Mo is awesome.
Dave? Ludwigs?
At this rate, Mariano’s era will be back under 2, where it belongs.
I plead the fifth.
He needs 13.1 more innings of scoreless ball to get under 2.00 ERA.
[146] At this rate Mo will catch Trevor Hoffman this season.
147 Ha Ha.
[149]
THAT would be very, very, very cool.
Knowing Hoffman’s desperation to keep a record he doesn’t deserve in the least.
Mrs. Hoffman aside, I think everyone knows Mo be da man.
Fun night. Later Bob Fellers.
I bet even Mrs. Hoffman would agree.
I really don’t think Rivera’s that kind of guy, DaPuj.
